Hi All I got to meet one of the Nissan Engineers yesterday and he was kind enough to give us some real info on the new Z car. First of all the one shown on Monday is going to be a pretty close match to the finish product.. Goto [ www.nissandriven.com ] to know how many seconds remain before you get see the new Z car. The target horse power is targeted at 260-280 HP it will be a 3.5 Naturally aspirated engine. The same engine that is the new Path Finder which currently produces 250HP. It will be a 6 Speed transmission. It will be a true sports car in the sense that it will be a two seater only. I am going to be receiving a press kit before Monday and I will have real details. The GeorgiaZ Club is going try and talk them into letting us maybe borrow 10 of the new Zs and run up at Road Atlanta or something similar. Nissan is going to be wanting to market the new 350Z to current owners. There was talk about a buying program no real clues on this yet.. I am asking him to confirm if some of photos we have seen online so far are accurate. The Celica/Porsche looking photo with the Audi TT back may actually be close to the real product from what he describe to me. I am going send him the pic to have him give me some feedback on it..

Cars to start being seen at dealership possible in May/June Time area or so. Dealerships are taking pre orders now. We asked about protecting the consumers from dealerships jacking up the price over retail and he said there is really nothing they can do about it. If anyone has some real questions on the new 350Z let me know and I will ask them. Please be exact in the information you would like to know. Ah one important thing to know. Target price is to be below 30K but I am sure dealerships will try and sell them for more atleast initially. Kind of like what happened with the new Xterra.
